Mark your calendars for 7:00PM on May 18th. On that Sunday night the forces of Rock will converge at NYC’s Madame X (94 W Houston St) to present music, photography, and readings by an overflowing lineup of masterclass artists. Tickets to this black tie event are $15, door only. Let’s break down the details of this super collaboration between NYC concert organizer Showbrain and anti-music rockers Genre Is Death.
Music: Rock and Roll will be spun around, flipped, and turned inside out courtesy of The Art Gray Noizz Quintet, Joseph Keckler, Genre is Death, and Avishag Cohen Rodrigues (Cumgirl8).
Photography: Founders of NYC rock zines MANI (Nico Malvaldi) and Digging Deep (Nik Bauman) will be showcasing selected works of their underground rock and roll photography.
Readings: Eugene Hütz (Gogol Bordello, Casa Gogol Records) will be reading from his upcoming memoir. Grace Bergere, Katheryn McGaffigan, & Mark C. (Live Skull) will also be reading from selected works.
As you have just learned, this is an expertly curated event of stars from all rocks of life. A custom drink menu will be available with intoxicants playfully named after the night’s talent. Doors at 7, show at 8, formal attire. Again, tickets are $15 and only available at the door so it is highly recommended to arrive early.
